Here at Michigan Office Solutions we take sustainability to heart. It is our responsibility to the environment to focus on the areas where we can have the most impact. We are proud to offer Xerox products which are designed as energy efficient products.
Strong sustainability practices can significantly cut costs. Reducing printing and paper waste, streamlining workflows, improving office equipment energy consumption, and educating your employees to electronically view rather than print documents are just a few of the ways we can help.
Our employees think globally while acting locally to embrace the sustainability philosophy. Locally, we are able to use non-consumable parts and circuit boards on lease returns and trade-in equipment to fully utilize and reuse parts of these machines before they are recycled. This enables us to have a larger parts inventory which ultimately assists our technicians with faster response times and shorter resolution times.
MOS continuously reviews all areas of our business to find ways to reuse, recycle and reduce. Through territory mapping and analysis, we continue to research ways to reduce annual emissions.Thus far we have reduced our emissions by 94,200 LBS per year. Not only does this help our environment it also helps you, our customer, through quick resolution times and less waiting for a technician to be on site. Motion sensored lighting throughout our facilities enables MOS to realize up to 30% in energy savings per year.
In 2015, Michigan Office Solutions (MOS) was honored as a leader in sustainability with being recognized as a 101 Best and Brightest® Sustainable Companies Winner by the Michigan Business and Professional Association. MOS was evaluated and recognized as a leader in sustainability categories such as education, communication, strategic planning, innovation, community leadership, building and grounds along with financial performance.
